Ceylon Cinnamon Loose Leaf Tea 8 Oz (227g) makes 75 cups of tea with a delightful aroma

Cinnamon Tea Combines 100% natural Cinnamon and the best Ceylon tea. We are delighted to share our customer reviews worldwide at the bottom of this page. One of the oldest known spices, cinnamon, is native to Sri Lanka and thrives in the hot, moist climate.

Cinnamon is naturally sweet and has a delightfully spicy fragrance due to the essential oils found in its bark. We've combined the finest Cinnamon and teas from Sri Lanka to create our Sweet Cinnamon tea. (Ceylon)

The resulting tea is a spicy delight with an irresistible aroma that will entice people in the next room to come in and ask you what you're drinking. Sweet Cinnamon tea is a great after-dinner beverage with fruit and pastries. Brew a big pot, and the wonderful aroma will make your home seem warmer on even the chilliest night.

How to make Ceylon Cinnamon Tea

  • Use Filtered water or spring water that is not too heavy
  • Boil one cup of water (212 Fahrenheit) in a clean pot
  • Add one or two pieces of natural Cinnamon Bark, depending on your taste, together with 1 tablespoon of Loose-leaf Black Tea and steep for five minutes

What's the difference between this loose leaf tea and DRUERA's cinnamon tea bags?

This is a traditional loose leaf blend of Ceylon cinnamon bark pieces and Ceylon black tea leaves. You brew it in a teapot or infuser and strain it yourself, which gives you more control over the strength and allows the ingredients to fully expand for maximum flavor extraction.

The tea bags are more convenient for single servings, while loose leaf is ideal for brewing larger pots and offers a more hands-on tea experience.

How many cups can I make from the 8 oz package?

You can make up to 75 cups from one 8 oz (227g) jar of Ceylon Cinnamon Tea. The exact number depends on how strong you like your tea.

The recommended amount is about 1 tablespoon of loose leaf tea per cup, steeped for 5 minutes.

If you prefer a lighter tea, you can use less; for stronger tea, add more or steep longer.

Does this tea contain caffeine?

Yes. This blend includes Ceylon black tea, which naturally contains caffeine.

Black tea typically has about 40-70 mg of caffeine per cup, depending on steeping time.

If you're looking for a caffeine-free option, DRUERA offers Pure Ceylon Cinnamon Tea Bags, which contain only cinnamon bark with no tea leaves.

Why is Ceylon cinnamon better than regular cinnamon for tea?

Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) is often called "true cinnamon" and has a naturally sweeter, more delicate flavor than cassia cinnamon, which is what most grocery stores sell.

More importantly, Ceylon cinnamon contains significantly lower levels of coumarin, a compound that can cause liver issues when consumed in large amounts over time.

This makes Ceylon cinnamon a safer choice for daily tea drinking. One customer even noted that their local health food store didn't know the difference between the two types.

How should I brew loose leaf cinnamon tea?

For hot tea, use filtered or spring water and bring it to a full boil (212°F). Add 1 tablespoon of loose leaf tea and to your teapot or infuser, then steep for about 5 minutes. Strain and serve.

For iced tea, use 6 teaspoons of tea in 1¼ cups of boiling water, steep for 5 minutes, strain into a pitcher with cold water and ice.

You can also add a cinnamon stick directly to your cup for extra flavor and visual appeal.

Where does DRUERA source this tea, and how fresh is it?

Both the Ceylon cinnamon and black tea come directly from Sri Lanka. (Ceylon)

DRUERA has worked with the same family farm for the cinnamon since 2005, ensuring consistent quality and full traceability.

The tea is shipped fresh from Sri Lanka via FedEx or DHL and typically arrives within 3 to 7 days with online tracking included.

Customers from the US, Australia, and Germany have all praised the freshness and authentic taste.
